Summer Camps Bring Faith & Fun
Summer camps offer Spirit-filled fun for children and youth, and this year the camps and campers are abundant. With multiple programs running throughout the summer, there are memorable experiences happening each day. In total, there are eight Chesapeake summer camps taking place in 2018, including Mt. Aetna Summer Camp (pictured above) and Fun Learning About God (FLAG) Camps (pictured below). In week 1, our conference had 181 registered campers, with a goal of 1,000 attendees for the summer. The Cambridge (Md.) church is hosting FLAG Camp again this year, showing an increase that almost doubles last year's registration. More importantly, Pastor Cesar Gonzalez reports the Cambridge church has built-up a positive reputation in the community due to its outreach through FLAG Camp, and they seek to nurture new relationships as they continue to point families to Christ.
Altogether, Chesapeake summer camps are off to a fantastic start, and we invite you to pray with us for God's continued blessing over the children, youth and staff this summer.
